2026 GMC Sierra 1500 Towing Capacity 

Under the hood, you’ll find four engines, two transmissions, and two drivetrains to choose from. Base models come equipped with a turbocharged 2.7-liter four-cylinder, making 310 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque. It is married to an eight-speed automatic transmission. We’d recommend opting for one of the two V-8s over the four-cylinder, though. The light-duty diesel six-cylinder makes 305 horsepower and 495 lb-ft of torque. These three engines are all paired with a ten-speed automatic transmission. RWD and 4WD are both options. New Sierra 1500 Tech Features

All models, except the base, come with a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster. However, most trucks take it a step further, offering a 13.4-inch display instead. The larger screen gives you access to Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, but all models get a wired connection as a base.
