2025 Encore GX Trim Levels & Features with Bob Moore Buick OKC
The Encore GX is Buick’s entry into the subcompact SUV market, offering a near-luxury cabin with plenty of standard amenities and a reliably smooth daily drive. The Encore GX comes in three trim levels, each offering various takes on Buick’s take on luxury. We’ll focus on the trim level and features on display in each model, but before we explore the differences between the models, let’s explore some of their similarities.
The Encore GX underwent a redesign in 2024, with updates centering around the exterior, including new badging and exterior design elements. Two things that remained constant were the cabin space and the safety suite. Each Encore GX has a trunk with 23.5 cubic feet of capacity, increasing to 50.2 cubic feet with the rear row folded. Regardless of trim level, the Encore GX is among the safest cars on the road, getting a five-star safety rating from the NHTSA. The biggest difference between the three trim levels lay in the engines and features across the lineup. Let’s take a look and see how they stack up.
2025 Encore GX Preferred
The Preferred is the entry point to the Encore lineup. It offers a turbocharged, three-cylinder, 1.2-liter engine with 137 horsepower. This fuel-efficient powertrain gets 30.0 MPG in the city and 31.0 MPG on the highway. The Preferred comes with Buick’s Driver Confidence driver assistance program, which includes features like emergency braking, pedestrian detection, and lane departure warnings. You’ll access your safety features, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto via an 11-inch infotainment display. The exterior features 18-inch bright silver painted aluminum wheels and LED headlamps, while the interior has leatherette seats. 2025 Encore GX Sport Touring
The Sport Touring and Avenir both feature a slightly larger turbo three-cylinder. The 1.3-liter engine has an output of 155 horsepower and is about as efficient as the smaller engine, getting 29 MPG in the city while still getting 31 MPG on the highway. Most of the Sport Touring’s unique features are aesthetic, as it’s the only model in the lineup that gets the popular Aquamarine Blue Metallic paint option. It also enhances the look with a gloss-black grille and accents across the bumper and fascia. Exclusive 18-inch gloss-black wheels come standard, as do LED taillamps. On the inside, you’ll find a flat bottom steering wheel and the ST logo embroidered on your front-seat headrests.
2025 Encore GX Avenir
The most luxurious of the bunch shares a powertrain with the Sport Touring but adds more amenities and detailing throughout the interior and exterior. It adds heated power front seats with 2-way power lumbar support, a heated steering wheel, and dual-zone climate control. You’ll also find leather seats with the Avenir logo embroidered and piano black knobs and dials. The exterior gets plenty of attention, too, with 19-inch Pearl Nickel wheels, an exclusive grille, and bright chrome accents across the board. The cabin is also more functional, as it has a flat-folding front passenger seat.
